Remembering Paul J. Reichenbach

A friendship that could pick up again

Contributed

Paul left us much too early.

Even though I hadn’t seen him in years, I knew that if I picked up the phone, we would simply continue right where we had left off. All those times we wished each other Happy Birthday on Facebook and he said call if you want to say Hi- I now wish I had!

There are so many stories being shared about Paul’s kindness and generosity. During my daughter’s turbulent years, she participated in URJ camps and Israel programs, and I always felt comforted knowing that Paul would make sure she was safe. He had an incredible ability to watch over thousands of kids as though each one were his own.

And yet, when he spoke about his own children and grandchildren, there was even more sparkle in his eyes and even more love in his heart—if that was at all possible.

We lost a truly great man at a time when the world needs people like Paul more than ever. His kindness, generosity, and love for others will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

A meal with Paul…
