I began my Kutz life in 1967 at Torah Corp, but returned often. I was staff, driver, kitchen and eventually Rabbinic Aide student. I also attempted to create a program to support the camp by offering a place to live and work for NFTY members who aged out. We were going to literally run the camp and at the same time bring in people who had found their passion and could visit and share. There were lots of us who had no direction. This plan would support both Kutz and Jewish (older) youth. Unfortunately, the passing of Rabbi Schindler created a political dilemma for many at UAHC. Jockeying for position, and support for the program was withdrawn. But I spent lots of time with Paul, including pre-seasons when my whole family went up to camp to open up for the season. Paul had the greatest job I can imagine. To follow your passion is a blessing that Paul was granted.
