Susan Reichenbach Heyman identifies Dolf at left, Margarete in the center and Ruth at right. A related print from the same seaside group bears the mark ‘Fotofritze Westerland,’ placing the photographs at Westerland on Sylt. Dolf’s and Ruth’s apparent ages point to the early 1920s; no dated inscription establishes the exact year.
