Because I pledge charity on his behalf, may his soul be bound in the bond of life with the souls of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel and Leah, and with the other righteous men and women in the Garden of Eden. Let us say: Amen. For the mother: May God remember the soul of my mother and teacher, [name], who has gone to her eternal home. Because I pledge charity on her behalf, may her soul be bound in the bond of life with the souls of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel and Leah, and with the other righteous men and women in the Garden of Eden. Let us say: Amen. I remember before You, O Lord my God, the dear and beloved ones who have gone from me into the eternal home. Remember them too in grace and mercy. Let them dwell among the blessed spirits in the world of truth, whose sight You have preserved for the human being after overcoming the cares, trials and disappointments of earthly existence. Let eternal peace, eternal blessedness and eternal rest be their portion. Remember every good deed they performed and every admonishing and devout word they spoke. Look down upon me in blessing. Pray before God’s throne that He may accompany me with protection and shelter, help and support; purify my heart; and fill me with the resolve to walk on earth in uprightness and justice, in fear of God and love of humanity, so that when the time comes for me too to exchange this life for the eternal one, I may be found worthy to enter among you and be united with you where there is no unrest or desire, illusion or deception, but blessed peace and radiant truth.
