English translation
The witnesses were called and appeared: Paul Reichenbach, personally known, forty-four years old, resident in Halberstadt; and [second witness as entered], personally known, forty-four years old, resident in Halberstadt. The registrar asked the engaged couple separately and in turn whether they wished to enter into marriage with one another. The couple answered the question in the affirmative, and the registrar then pronounced that, by force of the Civil Code, they were now lawfully joined as husband and wife. Read aloud, approved and signed: Martin Pützrath; Ruth Helene Pützrath, née Reichenbach; [witness signatures]. The registrar: [signature].
