English translation

Local Chronicle The long-serving deputy chairman of our Halberstadt local chapter, Mr. Paul Reichenbach, celebrated his fiftieth birthday on 20 October. We offer our warmest congratulations to this deserving man, who for years has stood in the defensive struggle with tireless energy. We hope that he, who has also distinguished himself outstandingly in many honorary offices, will be able for many more decades to devote his knowledge and will to our ideals. The seventy-year-old pharmacy administrator Curt Lewy of Berlin rescued a boy from the water at Berlin’s Potsdamer Bridge on 10 October, at risk to his own life. Printing-house proprietor Georg Marcus, deputy chairman of the Berlin-East local chapter, has, upon the proposal of the Economic Committee of the Reich Association of Jewish Soldiers, been appointed an assessor at the Reich Economic Court.
