English translation

The dear Reb Jacob, son of Abraham Reichenbach, of blessed memory, passed away on the 25th of Marḥeshvan, 5696. A precious soul, a doer of good deeds. Suddenly he departed from this world, to the sorrow of his wife and children, his family and all who knew him. May his memory be a blessing. May his soul be bound in the bond of life.

Hebrew transcription and English translation preserved from the archive’s established Paul Reichenbach gravestone record.
