Frankfurt records place Julius in banking and corporate oversight, while Anna’s death notice identifies their household and son.
Anna Jacob’s 1931 death notice names Julius as her husband and Adolf Jacob as their son. It gives the family home as Schubertstraße 13 in Frankfurt am Main. The notice is the direct contemporary record connecting Julius to the Reichenbach family.
Frankfurt’s official address books list Bankdirektor Julius Jacob at Eschersheimer Landstraße 46 III from 1918 through 1922 and at Schubertstraße 13 E from 1923 through 1933. The 1931 entry repeats the address printed in Anna’s death notice and gives the household telephone as Maingau 73695.
The 1931 commercial register names Julius as first deputy chair of the supervisory board of Aquila Aktiengesellschaft für Handels- und Industrieunternehmungen, then recorded with capital of six million Reichsmarks. A modern study of Jewish members of Germany’s business elite, drawing on a 1932 directors-and-supervisory-board directory, connects him with Danat Bank and Dresdner Bank in Frankfurt and records eleven supervisory-board mandates.
Frankfurt’s address books list Julius through 1933, but no later entry has been found. We therefore do not yet know whether he died, emigrated or moved. A Berlin textile manufacturer with the same name belonged to a different household: he was married to Martha Kleinmann and lived at Wielandstraße 29.

What remains uncertain
Julius’s birth, parents and life after 1933 remain unknown. The Frankfurt address books do not answer what happened to him after that year. The similarly named Berlin manufacturer belonged to a different household.
