English translation
Ancestral table for Ernst Reichenbach, Halberstadt, merchant, Hoher Weg 27. The printed field labels read: name; born; died; married; occupation; place. The chart records Ernst Reichenbach; his parents Adolf Reichenbach and Goldine Marcuse; his grandparents Jacob Reichenbach and Helene Heinemann; and earlier Reichenbach, Heinemann, Marcuse, Cohn and related ancestors. In generation IV, box 8 reads Abraham Jacob, followed on a separate line by a word best read as ‘Leiser,’ and then Reichenbach. The reading ‘Leiser’ is probable rather than certain. His occupation is Handelsmann (trader or merchant); his birth, death and marriage fields are blank. Box 9 reads Jette Therese Frank, born 1788, died 17 January 1861 at Halberstadt. A faint notation near her birth year may record an alternate year, but it is not secure enough to publish as fact. Personal names and place names remain unchanged in English; the dates are reproduced as numerals in the chart. The printed footer identifies a draft associated with the Stadtarchiv Halle and the Ostdeutsche Druckerei, Halle.
