An unsigned page continues the search Paul began

This archival query asks about Abraham Jacob Reichenbach and Therese Frank and cites a Halberstadt file. It sits in Rudolf Jakob Simonis’s genealogy papers immediately after Paul’s signed 1935 letter and postdates Paul’s death. The placement strongly suggests Simonis continued the inquiry, but the unsigned page does not prove authorship.

English translation

4 February 1936 To the City Archive, attention Dr. C. Becker, Halberstadt, Brombergerstraße 4 Because of a prolonged absence from here, I am only today able to attend to your letter of 22 December last year, file 944/35. At the same time I sent you the requested fees today and ask you to excuse the delay. On the matter itself I have the following to note: What further information can be established about Abraham Jacob Reichenbach? He can have died no earlier than 1815. Was he also born in Halberstadt, and when? What were the names of his parents and of the parents of his wife, Therese Frank? That should be ascertainable from any surviving marriage registers; Abraham Jacob R. and Therese Frank must have married around 1810. Can any further information about these parents be found? I await your further findings with interest and thank you in advance for your renewed efforts. [The preserved page is unsigned. Its position in Rudolf Jakob Simonis’s genealogy file, immediately after Paul Reichenbach’s signed 1935 letter, strongly supports identification as Simonis’s outgoing draft or copy, but does not prove authorship absolutely.]

English of the legible text, prepared for the Reichenbach Family Archive.
