A merchant of J. Reichenbach and early owner of Martiniplan 10, directly identified in his 1920 civil death record as the son of Jacob Reichenbach and Helene Heinemann.
The 1905 Halberstadt address book lists Ludwig Reichenbach as a merchant of J. Reichenbach, the court supplier for men’s and women’s fashions at Hoher Weg 27. The same directory names him to the board of the registered Casino association, adding a small documented glimpse of his civic life. A land-register extract records him as the registered owner of Martiniplan 10 in 1920.
Ludwig’s Halberstadt civil death entry, no. 359, records his death on 7 May 1920 at age seventy-four and explicitly identifies Jakob Reichenbach and Helene Heinemann as his parents. It independently establishes him as a brother of Adolf and Salomon Gustav; the age yields an estimated birth year of 1846.
A family chart names Ludwig’s wife as Lina Asch. It gives her death as 4 December 1918, while the Halberstadt Jewish cemetery register records Lina Reichenbach née Asch in plot II 9 with death recorded 14 December 1918. The marriage and the exact day of her death therefore remain qualified pending the original civil or cemetery image.

Evidence note
Ludwig’s parentage is now established by his civil death entry. His marriage to Lina Asch rests on the family chart, and the chart’s 4 December 1918 death date conflicts with the cemetery register’s 14 December entry.
