Because the notice collectively describes Anna as a sister, sister-in-law and aunt, it establishes a close family relationship without specifying Else’s exact relationship or naming either woman’s parents.
Family memory preserves a relative called ‘Liesl’ or ‘Liesel.’ Else can be related to Elisabeth as a familiar form, so Else Sernau may be the remembered Liesl. The archive records that possibility as a research lead, not an identification.

No civil record yet names Else’s parents or confirms that Else Sernau and the family’s remembered Liesl were the same person. A separate 1909 OCR lead may concern Else and Siegfried Sernau, but its page image has not been verified and is not used here as evidence.
